Position: Bilingual Spanish STEM Expert (PhD) — AI Safety
Type: Contract
Compensation: $58–$62/hour
Location: Remote

Role Responsibilities

• Write expert-level prompts in Spanish across specialized scientific topics.
• Evaluate and annotate model responses for scientific accuracy and appropriate handling of sensitive content.
• Apply structured guidelines to classify prompts and conversations.
• Work independently and asynchronously to improve AI model safety.
• Collaborate with AI research teams to ensure accuracy and depth in model outputs.

Qualifications

Must-Have

• PhD in chemistry, biology, or a related field.
• Native or near-native fluency in Spanish and business-level written English.
• Familiarity with modern laboratory and computational techniques.
• Sound judgment in scientific safety and responsible handling of dual-use information.

Preferred

• Based in Spain or Western Europe.
• Expertise in radiochemistry, nuclear chemistry, or related fields.
• Depth in specific subfields like organic synthesis or molecular biology.
• Experience in chemical safety, biosafety, or hazardous-materials handling.
• Experience reviewing or grading technical content.
