The Role

As our Brand Manager for Iberia you will lead/play a crucial part in the development and execution of brand strategies, promotional campaigns and tactical plans that strengthen our presence in the Spanish and Portuguese market. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional colleagues across Medical Affairs, Market Access and Sales to ensure successful brand performance and Ascendis objectives.

You will report to the Head of Marketing, Iberia and will based in Madrid.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop the brand strategy, annual brand plan and promotional campaigns tailored to the Spain and Portugal market.
  • Plan, develop and execute promotional activities in collaboration with internal stakeholders, agencies and external experts.
  • Manage brand budget, forecasting and expenses, ensuring efficient resource allocation and financial discipline.
  • Run market research initiatives and translate market insights into actionable strategic and tactical plans.
  • Monitor KPIs, sales performance and campaign effectiveness, continually optimizing for impact.
  • Develop materials to support the sales team
  • Collaborate closely with the Marketing teamand the wider commercial team to shape the strategic vision for the product portfolio in Iberia.
  • Collaborate with global marketing  to ensure strategic alignment and company standards. Ensure that all actions are within the Ascendis compliance framework and aligned with the pharmaceutical industry code of good practice. 

Qualifications

  • Degree in Science , marketing, , medicine or a related field.
  • 5+ years of relevant marketing experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Experience in rare diseases or specialty care; endocrinology experience is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to interpret data, evaluate promotional performance and build robust marketing plans.
  • Solid knowledge of market research, sales performance drivers and promotional excellence.
  • Strong understanding of the Spanish healthcare environment, including regional structures and market access pathways.
  • Experience working cross-functionally in a fast-paced, highly regulated, science-driven environment.
  • Fluent Spanish and English, both written and oral.
