Our Microbial Control Solutions finance team is looking for a data-savvy professional to provide business insights through meaningful data analysis.
The role is at the “crossroads” between Finance and Business Intelligence (BI), as the successful candidate will be able to translate Business unit requests into meaningful data analysis to identify further growth opportunities.

Data analysis will cover topics such as Pricing and Margin by product/customer/region, Sales force productivity as well as tracking of new initiatives performance. 
The role requires strong collaboration skills (as operating across different people, process, and systems in the organization), as well as high degree of proactiveness and autonomy in mastering Power BI and other data analytics tools.
Working collaboratively and leveraging the knowledge base of our Barcelona Centre of Excellence for BI will be key for the incumbent to succeed.

Given the margin enhancement focus, prior Business Controlling and/or Corporate Finance experience will be a significant plus.

The incumbent may/will also drive specific initiatives, helping translating insights into actions. Requirements:

• 3+ years progressive experience within Business Consulting or in Business controlling, with focus on data analysis.

• Educational background in Data Analytics, Management Engineering and/or Finance is ideal.

• Collaborating in multinational environments with Global Stakeholders, and across different geographies (US focus).

• Business Performance reporting focusing on Sales (Volume, Price, Mix) and Gross Profit analysis.

• Pricing and margin management tracking initiatives.

• interpreting complex business requirements and translating them into data analysis, including simple visualization.

• data modelling and data driven decision making using statistical software and business intelligence tools 

• designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining Reporting tools and databases

• A good understanding of relational data modelling, normalization, and query optimization

Nice to have:

• Experience in cleansing and transforming unstructured data into meaningful analysis.

• Prior Business Consulting or Controlling experience

• Understanding of Product costing in Manufacturing industries.
