Sompo has a unique opportunity for a Claims Technician in our Claims Management Team.

What you’ll be doing:
• Supporting the triaging of FNOL mailboxes
• Recording new claims in the claims management system.
• Processing electronic files from TPAs and/or policyholders.
• Entering and reviewing notes in the claims management system as instructed.
• Processing payments.
• Reviewing, preparing, creating, and/or sending letters, reports, and forms.
• Uploading data into the GuideWire claims system.
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of business processes and seeking efficient workflows.
• Assigning new claims to the responsible claims handler based on predefined criteria.
• Monitoring and reporting on the inventory of new claims.
• Supporting administrative tasks in the Claims Management area.
What you’ll bring:
• Professional experience as a Claims Technician in an insurance/reinsurance company and/or completed training as an insurance specialist.
• Independent, self-reliant, and reliable working style with enjoyment in teamwork and interfacing functions.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Team-oriented, proactive, and solution-oriented working style.
• Good knowledge of common Microsoft Office products.
• Languages: Spanish and English.
Additional language skills in Italian and/or French desirable.
