Classified Information Management Support - IRIS2

Hispasat, as part of the SpaceRISE consortium, is responsible for the technical implementation and for ensuring the success of the IRIS² project, leveraging its extensive experience in satellite communications. This collaboration is essential to provide secure, reliable and high-performance communication solutions to the European Union and its Member States.

To be part of this project, we are looking for a Classified Information Management Support professional. The responsibilities of the position are as follows:

Position Mission

The main purpose of this position is to protect, control, and manage the entire lifecycle of classified information associated with the IRIS² Project (hereinafter, the “Project”), ensuring strict compliance with applicable security regulations and company standards.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Marking and Classification: Ensure the proper marking, classification, reclassification, and declassification of documents according to the applicable classification level, the criteria established by the National Security Office (ONS), and the Project’s security instructions.


• Mandatory Document Control: Register, classify, archive, and ensure the traceability of the receipt, dispatch, and distribution of physical and digital documentation subject to security requirements.


• Secure Storage Management: Manage and maintain up-to-date records of safes, security cabinets, and accredited rooms where the Project’s classified information is stored.


• Inventories and Audit Support: Ensure that the inventory of the Project’s classified information assets is kept up to date and provide support, when required, during internal and external security audits affecting the area of responsibility.


• Secure Logistics and Destruction: Support the management of classified information exchanges and coordinate the secure dispatch and receipt of classified information within the Project, including exchanges with official bodies, other consortium members, partners, and other relevant stakeholders. Carry out the certified destruction of obsolete material.


• Systems and Tools Maintenance: Administer and update restricted digital repositories and document management systems in accordance with strict encryption and access permission requirements.

Candidate Requirements

• Education: Higher Vocational Training qualification or University Degree in Document Management or a related field.


• Security Clearance (Critical Requirement): Must hold a valid Personnel Security Clearance (HSP) at a classification level equal to or higher than that required by the Project, issued by the National Security Office (ONS).


• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in Document Control, confidential records management, or administrative support roles within the Defence, Aerospace, Public Sector, or Critical Infrastructure sectors.

  • Experience implementing document traceability and audit mechanisms.
  
  
  • Knowledge of document management regulations, procedures, and best practices.
  
  
  • Basic knowledge of encryption tools.
  
  
  • Experience in process optimisation and continuous improvement related to information management.
  
  


• Languages: Native or bilingual Spanish. Fluent English, with a minimum B2 level, both written and spoken, for handling international documentation and regulations.
