Data Conversion Specialist - Oracle Cloud

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Conversion Specialist to join our team for an ERP implementation project – Oracle Cloud. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful migration of data from legacy systems to our new ERP platform. This position requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments to achieve seamless data integration. This role involves working closely with project stakeholders, including business analysts, technical teams, and end-users, to ensure the accurate and efficient transfer of data from legacy systems to the new ERP platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Data Mapping and Analysis: Analyze legacy data structures and map them to the new ERP system’s schema. Develop detailed data mapping documents to ensure data integrity and compatibility during the migration process
• Data Extraction and Transformation: Develop and execute data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes to transfer data from legacy systems to the new ERP. Ensure all data is accurately loaded and available for business processes within the ERP system.
• Data Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough data validation, cleansing and reconciliation to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of the data before and after migration. Collaborate with various stakeholders to support functional and integration testing of the migrated data
• Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with project managers, business analysts, IT teams, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and resolve any issues related to data conversion.
• Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of data conversion processes, mappings, and any custom scripts or tools used during the migration. Ensure compliance with data governance policies and regulatory requirements.
• Troubleshooting and Support: Identify and resolve data conversion issues promptly and provide ongoing support throughout the implementation phase. Assist in the development and execution of data correction strategies as needed 

Qualifications

• Residence and Work Authorization: applicants must currently reside and be legally authorized to work in the Netherlands. This includes holding a valid residence and work visa if applicable.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in data conversion, ETL processes, and ERP implementations.
• Experience with Oracle Cloud (Finance) ERP.
• Minimum of 1 conversion actually performed
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL, data modeling, and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Perl). Experience with ETL tools and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).
• Attention to Detail: Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
• Problem-Solving: Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve complex data-related issues.
• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical team members.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with ETL tools and methodologies
• Knowledge of data governance and compliance standards.
• Certifications in data management or in Oracle Cloud ERP, preferable financial modules.
