Data Engineer @ Fleetch
Fleetch is part of the Heetch Group, a company historically built around a ride-hailing application (Heetch), which is currently available in seven countries across Europe and Africa.
Fleetch operates on the African continent in Côte d'Ivoire, Senegal, and Angola and looking to expand into new countries.
Fleetch's mission is to purchase and operate vehicles. Currently, these vehicles are leased exclusively to ride-hailing drivers that can work with Heetch or competing platforms.
Fleetch currently operates close to a thousand vehicles, and has set ambitious goals for the coming years, aiming to double its fleet each year.
Fleetch is a purely operational business. As such, we constantly challenge existing processes, brainstorm optimisations (automation, purchasing, costs, processes, driver profitability, marketplace, etc.), and consider the future of mobility (electric vehicles, motorcycles, etc.). Fleetch is a pioneer in electric mobility in West Africa, specifically in Dakar and Abidjan.

About the Team:
You will be part of DataHub, which is the Data Engineering team at Heetch. It is the team supporting all Data platform needs for Heetch and Fleetch. While your primary focus is Fleetch you may also work on other parts of the data stack at Heetch.
What You Will Do:
Your mission will be to support the Fleetch needs. It will include :
- Scraping API (tools used by Fleetch)
- Create and maintain classic ETL
- Provide insight / ideas on what is possible to help the product grow
- Work closely with business stakeholders
This Position Is for You If:
- You are proficient in Python and SQL. Those are the 2 main language you will use
- You are fluent in French and English and comfortable working in an international environment
- GCP knowledge (Big Query / PubSub / GCS)
- 3 years experience working with Data with business stakeholders
Nice to have:
- Looker
- Airflow / Dataform / DBT
- JS / Typescript
