About Baxter Kidney Care’s Digital Health Platform

Sharesource remote patient management platform is a two-way, digital health solution that enables healthcare professionals to stay connected with their home dialysis patients.

Sharesource is the most widely adopted digital healthplatform for home dialysis, available in 84 countries, which has helped manage more than 57 million home peritoneal dialysis (PD) treatments globally. Theremote patient management platformallows healthcare providers to securely view their patients’ recently completed home dialysis-related treatment data that is automatically collected after each PD session. Healthcare professionals can then act on this information by remotely adjusting their patients’ home device settings without requiring them to make additional trips to the clinic.

Versia is a Baxter Kidney Care Renal Clinical Information System (CIS) that can manage the end-to-end workflow across the full renal pathway of a patient – from CKD (pre-dialysis) to PD, HD, and Transplant. It’s a modular system that can be configured and customized to meet clinic workflow needs.

For our CRRT Systems and Organ Support Therapies in the critical care environment, Baxter’s TrueVue is our suite of digital health solutions specifically developed to help intensive care units (ICU) capture the full potential of data. TrueVue Connect (an add-on digital communication module for the PrisMax 2) sends critical therapy information to the EMR, enabling automatic documentation into a flow sheet and helping nurses refocus time on patient care. TrueVue Therapy Management (an add-on for PrisMax 2) helps hospitals achieve their quality improvement goals.

The Digital Health Customer Success Sr Integration Engineer is a commercially oriented consultative role in our EMEA Digital Health organization.This position will be primarily responsible for leading the technical implementation of digital health products including Electronic Medical Record (EMR) Connectivity solutions. In addition, this role will closely engage with the Regional/Country Sales and Marketing Teams to support the pre-sales process. Specifically, the Sr Integration Engineer will bring digital health subject matter expertise to clearly articulate technical IT/requirements, software/data specifications and the overall architecture of Baxter’s digital health portfolio to customer IT stakeholders and teams.

This position reports to the Digital Health Versia EMEA Manager Baxter Kidney Care Segment, and supports our digital portfolio across Kidney Care, including both Chronic and Acute businesses.

What you will be doing

• Serve as a point of contact and collaborate with all levels of the customer’s organization (IT, Biomedical Engineering, project management, executive, and clinical) on product, system, and device integration initiatives.
• Interact and support third party vendors during device and system integration efforts.
• Perform routine support and maintenance of production hardware and software.
• Provide technical support on the operating systems, networking, and security issues.
• Install, configure, test, and maintain application software and hardware components.
• Analyze and solve problems of routine complexity on computer applications and systems.
• Maintain documentation of system and environment changes.
• Provide support to customers as issues escalate from the Services team and resolve assigned support tickets/cases.
• Support data integration with EHRs using XML, HL7 and FHIR protocols, ADT message types, and serial communication with Baxter’s chronic and acute portfolio of devices.
• Provide customer support for technical requirements and system specifications.
• Provide regular status and project updates to project stakeholders.
• Conduct technical kick-off calls and attend project calls as required.
• Other integration support as needed including rotational on-call and after-hours support.

What you will bring

• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and work independently, under general supervision.
• Knowledge of a broad range of relevant computer systems, applications, and/or related equipment.
• Knowledge of computer and network security procedures
• Ability to analyze complex computer problems and provide solutions.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Understanding of LAN/WAN concepts such as DHCP, DNS, and TCP/IP
• Familiarity with medical device and software integration with EHRs (e.g., Epic, Cerner, Meditech)
• Familiarity with HL7, XML and JSON data management concepts is helpful.
• Must be willing to travel up to 25%.
• Bachelor’s in biomedical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, software engineering or IT-related field degree preferred with 1-3+ years related experience or 4+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in a consulting environment is preferred but not required.
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills; especially asking questions and listening.
• Problem-solving skills
