We help protect the global financial system by verifying millions of identities for banks, neobanks, online brokers, crypto exchanges, and insurers like N26, Trade Republic, flatexDEGIRO, Nationale Nederlanden, Qonto, Shine, Solarisbank, and more.


Having started our journey in January 2018, we're incredibly proud to count around 250 employees between our Amsterdam and Barcelona offices with over 50 nationalities.

We’re looking for a Director of Solutions Engineering & Delivery: a relentlessly driven leader who wakes up ready to move mountains, builds high-performing teams, and makes customer outcomes inevitable. You will own the end-to-end technical customer journey, from pre-sales discovery and solution design to implementation delivery and value realization, while raising the bar on how we execute at enterprise scale.  


This role is for someone who thrives in complexity, loves accountability, and brings the energy to lead from the front every single day. 


What you’ll own 


You’ll oversee two core teams and unify them into a single operating engine: 


Solutions Engineering (Pre-sales / Solution Design) 



  • You’ll ensure we consistently win and expand enterprise customers by owning the technical side of the commercial cycle.

  • Set the strategy and operating model for how we discover, qualify, design, and propose solutions at speed and with precision. 

  • Own the technical sales motion: lead or coach complex cycles, executive-level technical conversations, and high-stakes deal strategy. 

  • Establish world-class standards for: 

    • Deep-dive product explorations (beyond demos) 

    • Solution design artefacts 

    • RfX (RFP/RFI/RFQ) excellence 



  • Proof of Concepts (PoCs) that are measurable, de-risked, and conversion-focused 

  • Statements of Work (SOWs), including scope, assumptions, timelines, and success criteria 

  • Partner tightly with Sales, Marketing, Product, Security, Legal, and Customer Success to build a repeatable path from interest → purchase → go-live. 


Delivery (Tech Implementations / Go-live) 



  • You’ll lead implementations as a strategic capability: predictable, scalable, and trusted by the most demanding regulated institutions. 

  • Own delivery outcomes: time-to-value, go-live quality, integration success, and customer satisfaction. 

  • Build a delivery machine that can scale across: 

    • Different customer archetypes (fintech vs bank) 

    • Different integration patterns and architectures 

    • Varying regulatory and security requirements 



  • Create and enforce delivery rigor: 

    • Implementation playbooks, milestones, and templates 

    • Risk management and escalation mechanisms 

    • Cross-functional execution with Engineering, Product, Security/Compliance, and Support 



  • Drive continuous improvement: shorten timelines, reduce rework, standardize integrations, and improve handovers.  


What you’ll do day-to-day 



  • This is a “hands-on leadership” role: you’ll set direction, unblock teams, and personally drive the toughest initiatives. 

  • Lead, coach, and scale a high-performing org: hiring, performance, development, team design, and culture. 

  • Run the operational cadence across both teams: pipeline forecasting (technical), delivery planning, prioritization, and capacity management. 

  • Be the ultimate escalation point for key accounts when the stakes are highest, you’re in the room. 

  • Build a tight feedback loop from customer learnings → product priorities → delivery improvements → sales enablement. 

  • Define and report on KPIs across the full funnel: 

    • Win rate where SE engaged 

    • PoC conversion rate 

    • RfX success rate and cycle time 

    • Implementation cycle time and predictability 

    • On-time / on-scope delivery 

    • Integration quality (defects, rework) 

    • Time-to-value and customer outcomes 




Build the “standardized solutions” flywheel: reduce bespoke work, increase repeatability, and keep Fourthline’s offerings crisp and scalable. 


What makes you a fit 


You’re a builder + a closer + an operator 



  • You can design the system, lead people through it, and still jump in to land the plane. 

  • You bring 8-10+ years in Solution Engineering / Solutions Consulting / Technology Consulting / Delivery / Implementation leadership (ideally in B2B SaaS). And 3-5 years leading team(s). 

  • You’ve led multi-team orgs and can scale through managers and senior ICs.

  • You have deep technical fluency and can credibly engage with customer engineers and security stakeholders on: 

    • APIs & integrations 

    • SDKs 

    • SaaS and cloud-native architecture 

    • Information security, risk, and compliance expectations 

    • Enterprise rollout realities and operationalization 



  • You’ve worked in or with regulated financial environments (fintech, banking, payments, KYC/AML, identity, fraud, compliance tech) and you understand what “enterprise-grade” really means. 

  • You’re commercially sharp: you know how to influence outcomes, structure proposals, and link technical decisions to business value. 

  • You communicate with force and clarity + excellent English (written and verbal). 

  • Master’s degree in business or technical related study
