We’re on the lookout for our next Finance Officer, responsible for the international Financial & Admin administration, management of subsidies and past dues. We offer an unique opportunity to work on an international level, as we have offices in Belgium, Spain, Tunisia and Madagascar. You will directly report to the Chief Financial Officer.
Your responsibilities
You will be working to enhance productivity and ensure compliance with rules and regulations within the Finance department. This includes (but is not limited to) providing financial administrative support to ensure efficient operation of our offices , and are responsible for confidential and sensitive material.
Concretely, you'll be in charge of:
- Invoices & Accounting support : collecting and categorizing invoices, inputting them in our accounting software ExactOnline; and payment of invoices;
- Financial reporting : generate financial statements and reports for the CFO;
- Credit Collection : calling & recovering past-due invoices from Sortlist customers;
- Dealing with incoming requests : emails and post, often corresponding on behalf of the manager;
- Assistance and support with tax audits, recovery of withholding tax, quarterly declaration DG01, annual tax forms, etc.;
- Taking on some of the CFO's responsibilities and working more closely with management;
- Management and granting of subsidies
Your profile
- Bachelor or Master degree in Accounting, Finance, or related business field
- At least 2 years working experience in Accounting, Audit or Finance Administration
- Autonomous, highly organized, and solution oriented define your main personality traits
- You are resourceful and proactive, eager to learn and achieve great results. We expect you to challenge us
- Fluent in French and English. Dutch or Spanish is a plus, but not a requirement.
- Critical and curious to review processes and ways of working
- General knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Suite
- Excellent team player, who takes pride in providing high quality support and advice
- Able to handle sensitive situations and maintain a high degree of confidentiality
