📌 What you’ll do

We are seeking a Functional Lead to act as the bridge between Product, local business teams, and Technology. This role is responsible for gathering and defining business requirements, translating them into functional and technical deliverables, and ensuring smooth communication between business and development teams. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and communication skills, a solid understanding of front-to-back platforms, and familiarity with FX and capital markets. This is not a developer role, but it requires the ability to understand at a high level how a modern web application and microservices-based backend operate.

✅ What we’re looking for

• Gather requirements from stakeholders (Product, Sales, Compliance, local markets) and formalize them in Jira/Confluence.


• Write and refine user stories, including acceptance criteria, workflows, dependencies, and data mappings.


• Participate actively in sprint refinement sessions to clarify scope and functionality.


• Define logic and functional rules to be implemented in backend microservices.


• Map and document integrations across front-end, core systems, and databases.


• Collaborate with architects and developers on high-level API contracts and integration flows.


• Support functional testing and validation during UAT and post-deployment.


• Monitor sprint progress, dependencies, and functional risks, ensuring timely resolution.


• Maintain clear and proactive communication across teams and stakeholders.


• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to grasp and explain complex concepts clearly and concisely.


• Proven experience with front-to-back platforms, ideally within financial services or capital markets.


• Good understanding of capital markets; FX product knowledge (spot, forwards, swaps, NDFs) is a strong plus.


• Experience defining functional logic for microservices and understanding of API-based architectures.


• Experience with mapping and integrating front-end, core systems, and databases.


• Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies, including backlog management and sprint ceremonies.


• Proven ability to organize, coordinate, and follow up on sprint activities.


• Strong sense of ownership, autonomy, and proactivity in communication with cross-functional teams.


• Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, and similar collaboration tools.


• Solid understanding of web application architecture, microservices, and API integrations (REST/JSON).


• Excellent English and Spanish communication skills (spoken and written); additional language are a plus.


• More than 6 years in a similiar role.

✅What can earn you extra points

Experience with international payments, SWIFT, or ISO 20022.

Basic knowledge of SQL and ability to read technical logs.

Exposure to cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).

Understanding of non-functional requirements (latency, scalability, resilience).

Professional certifications (e.g., IIBA, PSPO, CSM) are a plus.
