General Ledger Accountant

We are looking for a General Ledger Accountant to join our expanding Accounting team based in our Barcelona hub. This role will support the day-to-day operations of the Accounting function while contributing to continuous improvement across all departmental processes.

What You’ll Do

• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of discrepancies


• Record general ledger entries in compliance with local and group accounting policies


• Assist with the month-end close and general ledger reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting


• Reconcile intercompany transactions


• Maintain the fixed assets register, including asset postings and monthly depreciation


• Collaborate with the Accounts Payable, Procurement and T&E teams on reconciliations and discrepancy resolution


• Assist in the preparation and review of VAT returns


• Provide support during external and internal audits


• Partner with cross-functional teams to support business units with financial and accounting insights


• Contribute to process improvement and automation initiatives and help with ad-hoc projects

What We’re Looking For

• 3 years of experience in general accounting


• Prior experience in international environments, preferably across multiple entities


• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal


• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office tools


• Experience working with ERP systems; Oracle ERP experience


• Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities


• A team-oriented mindset with a focus on shared goals

Nice to Have

• Background in a fast-paced, tech-driven environment.


• Knowledge of Spanish and/or European tax regulations


• Familiarity with automation tools (e.g., Power Query, Power BI)


• Experience working in a shared service center or centralized accounting function
