Global Category Manager R&D Services

Global Indirect Procurement at Fresenius Kabi plays a critical role in enabling innovation, ensuring governance, and creating sustainable value across the organization. We are looking for an experienced professional to manage a strategic global R&D services portfolio and partner closely with senior stakeholders across Research, Clinical Operations and Medical Affairs.

Your responsibilities:

• Execute global category strategies for R&D and professional services in alignment with the Category Lead

• Translate global strategy into annual sourcing plans and manage a sustainable sourcing pipeline

• Lead and co‑lead complex end‑to‑end sourcing initiatives, including tenders, RFPs and negotiations

• Drive cost savings and value creation across a complex, knowledge‑based services portfolio

• Negotiate commercial, contractual and service‑level agreements (MSA, SOW, SLA, WO)

• Manage contract lifecycle activities including amendments, renewals and work orders

• Ensure compliance with global procurement policies, financial controls and risk standards

• Manage supplier performance and deploy a global strategic supplier ecosystem across business units

• Act as a trusted business partner to R&D, Clinical Operations, Medical Affairs and cross‑functional teams

Your qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Sciences or a related field

• Master’s degree or advanced procurement certifications are a plus

• Strong experience in strategic sourcing and category management with hands‑on execution

• Solid exposure to procurement of R&D and clinical services

• Advanced negotiation and contract management skills

• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills in a global, matrix environment

• Analytical, data‑driven mindset with the ability to balance strategy and execution

• Advanced MS Office skills; experience with SAP Ariba or SAP ERP is an advantage
