We are looking for a Global Marketing Manager to lead the development of a new product segment within our organization. Based in Barcelona, you will play a pivotal role in boosting the Wet category's future.

As the Global Marketing Manager for the Wet segment, your responsibilities will include devising and implementing innovative marketing strategies, expanding our product portfolio, ensuring excellence in both physical and online retail environments, and collaborating closely with various business units to execute annual operating plans seamlessly.

This role offers the opportunity to lead a dedicated team consisting of a Brand Manager, Consumer Research Specialist, and Trade Marketing expert. Together, you will work within a project-based model, laying the groundwork for remarkable achievements.

What you will do

  • You will be a consumer, product and category expert. You will create a center of excellence for the wet category in Affinity, gathering all the intelligence the category, consumer and product, so all the company will be able to make best data driven decisions. You will be leading marketing & shopper research, continuous business monitoring and competition benchmarking.
  • Collaborate with business units to define and manage the 5-year innovation pipeline, overseeing the development and market launch of new products.
  • Monitor performance metrics and market dynamics closely, managing the profit and loss statement for the wet business segment.
  • Lead a dedicated Wet team responsible for executing business expansion initiatives.
  • Develop and mentor a team of specialists comprising a Senior Brand Manager, Consumer Research Specialist, and Trade Marketing Specialist.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams across business units, providing insights and support for their respective initiatives.
What you will do 
  • Become an expert in consumer behavior, products, and the wet category, establishing a center of excellence within Affinity. Your role involves gathering comprehensive intelligence on the category, consumers, and products to drive data-driven decisions across the company. This includes leading marketing and shopper research, continuously monitoring business performance, and benchmarking against competitors. 
  • Collaborate with business units to define and oversee the 5-year innovation pipeline. You will lead the development of innovations and facilitate their smooth transition to the market launch phase. 
  • Monitor Affinity's performance in the wet category closely, maintaining a deep understanding of market dynamics, competition, and our own performance metrics. This includes managing the full wet business profit and loss statement, conducting quarterly business reviews for presentation to the Executive Committee and CEO. 
  • Lead an autonomous Wet team responsible for executing business expansion initiatives within the wet category. This involves coordinating efforts across departments such as Research and Development, Operations, Finance, Quality, and Human Resources. 
  • Develop and nurture a team of three individuals comprising a Senior Brand Manager, Consumer Research Specialist, and Trade Marketing Specialist. 
  • Work closely with the marketing teams of business units, providing them with insights into product innovation, market intelligence, benchmarking data, and best practices to support their marketing efforts. 
What we are looking for
  • Over 10 years of experience in Marketing within the FMCG industry. 
  • Proven track record in both local and global marketing roles, showcasing expertise in innovation pipeline, product development, media strategy, customer, and market research. 
  • Analytical proficiency to understand performance management data and provide recommendations for optimizing the effectiveness of marketing activities. 
  • Efficiently manage A&P sources. 
  • Proficient in understanding and managing Brand P&L, with the capability to develop plans to achieve annual targets. 
  • Experienced in leading senior teams, fostering an agile and high-performance culture. 
  • Outstanding presentation skills, effectively covering main objectives and engaging key stakeholders clearly. 
  • Ability to gain stakeholders' confidence through expertise, credibility, and professional leadership. 
  • Confident, driven, and dynamic leader, maintaining internal team visibility and fostering team growth simultaneously.
