This role drives the digital transformation of the Global Business Planning & Analysis (BPA)/ Digital Finance function of the Onco and Pharma Business Units into an ad-vanced analytics and value-creation powerhouse. The Global Senior Manager Digital Finance (GSMDF) will shape our future finance/BPA organization and the way we sup-port our business using AI, ML & digital. This includes project management, process and organizational design and identifying and managing interdependencies with other digital initiatives throughout the company (e.g. commercial functions, the corporate dig-ital office, finance in other Novartis units incl. NBS, NTO, etc.) The GSMDF takes an active part in orchestrating the development and implementation of AI/ML-powered components for financial forecasting and planning and owns the execution of assigned projects, including transformational activities, working independently and with exten-sive autonomy.

Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Co-develop vision and supports prioritization of new AI-/decision-making tools in close alignment with the BPA/Finance function of the Onco & Pharma business units
• Own selected AI/ML products and heads their design, development and implementation by orchestrating the right resources across data science and visualization experts. Ensures successful roll-out and adoption across IM.
• Connect newly designed solutions and processes with operational links and leverages her/his operations acumen to pragmatically implement in the NVS environment
• Identify areas of inefficiencies in the application of AI/ML/digital and implements improvements towards a highly efficient, “industrialized” approach in planning and forecasting
• Liaise with other digital/AI initiatives (e.g. commercial, other Novartis units), identifies potential overlaps/ synergies, and co-creates holistic digitalization roadmap
• Work closely with broader Digital Finance team to define data requirements for next generation AI tools to further improve decision-making and efficiencies
• Identify proactively industry benchmarks that trigger/sparkle change initiatives. Proposes innovative approaches to operations and owns their realization from presentation to top management to execution and delivery of results

Minimum Requirements

What you’ll bring to the role:

• 5-8 years of experience in a multinational compa-ny, consulting or advisory in areas relevant to the position.
• English Fluent, Spanish preferably
• Have a degree in Finance, Economics (or similar), MBA or equivalent preferred
• Knowledge of finance processes, especially plan-ning and forecasting, performance management, management reporting
• Ideally country and/or regional experience within the Novartis commercial BPA function
• Strong analytical skills (applicable to financial analyses and process, governance & organiza-tional design)
• Strong project management skills; project man-agement certification (PMP, etc.) is an asset
• Good communication and stakeholder manage- ment skills applied in complex environments (e.g. matrix/divisional organizations)
• Innovative, digital, and agile mindset
• Pharma industry and digital/data science experi-ence is preferred, but not mandatory.
