Mandarin Oriental, Barcelona is an exclusive 5-star hotel located on Barcelona's Paseo de Gracia, also home to several historic modernist works and architectural gems by Gaudi.

The hotel belongs to the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group which is an international hotel management group with more than 38 luxury hotels, resorts and residences with a worldwide presence in Asia, Europe and the Americas.

Mandarin Oriental Barcelona Hotel has 120 rooms, 28 of which are suites. All of our exquisite rooms and suites are uniquely decorated by Patricia Urquiola.

In addition to accommodation, the hotel has rooms that we rent for all kinds of events, such as weddings, meetings, business meetings...

Regarding the hotel's gastronomy, we have a 2 Michelin star restaurant, a wonderful cocktail bar, indoor garden Mimosa and the pool terrace where you can enjoy light dinners or spectacular views.

The hotel Spa consists of 8 treatment rooms, both facial and body, indoor pool and gym.

We are currently looking for new talent to join the F&B department as Host/ess.

What will be the main functions you will perform in your position?

Major Responsibilities

To meet and greet guests in a friendly, professional, and courteous manner, handling all transactions related to billing accurately and efficiently, enhancing the hotel’s reputation for excellence

Tools/Equipment Used

Infosys System, RESPAK Systems, DELPHI Systems, Telephone, Microsoft programmes, Reservations Diaries, Cash floats

Daily Duties

To ensure that the uniform provided is kept clean, presentable and in good condition, ensuring that personal appearance and hygiene standards are an example for the team and demonstrate a professional image for our guests

To check on stock of take away menus

To attend pre-service briefings for daily updates

To ensure that reservations are handled in a friendly and professional manner

To organise the menus for each service

To welcome and offer cloakroom assistance for bar guests

To ensure that guests are seated according to their requirements

To liase with the managers regarding any relevant guest requirements

To wish “Farewell” to all guests, encouraging repeat custom

Periodic Duties

To support chef de rang and commis de rang on setting up the restaurant before and after the service

Occasional Duties

To assist in correspondence with guests

To carry out any other reasonable requests as directed by your manager
