As Housekeeping Coordinator, I will fully comprehend the vision of Six Senses Ibiza to help people reconnect with themselves, others and the world around them and our values of local sensitivity and global sensibility, crafted experiences, emotional hospitality, responsible and caring, fun and quirky and pioneering wellness.

Sustainability, Wellness and Out of the Ordinary experiences are at the core of everything we do at Six Senses. I will safeguard these pillars and its strategic planning and development and ensure all directives, practices and initiatives are implemented, embraced, adopted within the resort.

Duties and Responsibilities

In this role, I will assume full responsibility for the efficient operation of all housekeeping administrative tasks to provide exceptional products and services within brand operating standards.

I will assist to ensure that all set policies, procedures, best practices are in place and rigorously enforced.

I will perform the following relevant tasks for this role:

  • Assign rooms to the Room Attendants and supports the overall day-to-day efficiency of the Housekeeping operation.
  • Monitor daily arrivals according to occupancy report in co-ordination with the Laundry and Housekeeping management.
  • Answer all internal and external Housekeeping telephone and email inquiries in an efficient and friendly manner, using guest names whenever possible and routing calls to proper extensions.
  • Assist guests with special preferences and requirements.
  • Monitor all Housekeeping/Laundry/Valet and other guest requests and communicate with multiple departments to ensure completion.
  • Record every request in a logbook/database.
  • Issue store items to Housekeeping hosts in accordance with resort policy.
  • Assist in monthly stock takes to insure minimum losses.
  • Assist in ordering as necessary any items required by the department.
  • Tidy and clean Housekeeping office and stores and ensure all storage facilities of housekeeping are kept in good condition and order.
  • Organize the Housekeeping office ensuring files are updated.
  • Prepare the room discrepancy report.
  • Check rooms to required standard if necessary.
  • Liaise with Engineering team to ensure swift response to room maintenance issues.
  • Maintain a high standard of hygiene and sanitation throughout all service areas.
  • Report any health or safety hazards to the Assistant Housekeeper.
  • Provide assistance to guests in all hotel emergency evacuation and medical procedures.
  • Ensure that all Housekeeping hosts perform duties in accordance with hotel guidelines.
  • Assist in formulating and establishing plans for all aspects of Housekeeping management and operation.
  • Attend meetings and training as required by supervisors.
  • Upkeep Six Senses guidelines and standards of service and operation. My performance benchmarks are maintained and exceeded.
  • Strictly adhere to LQA standards and guest comments.
  • Make the daily labour per day to ensure that the operative of the next days are totally cover.
  • Perform any additional tasks given to me by supervisor/management.

Qualifications

To execute the position of Housekeeping Coordinator, I have the required qualifications, technical skills and experience in a similar or greater role in luxury hotels with proven results.

Minimum of hospitality diploma/degree from a recognized hospitality school

  • More than two year’s experience in a similar role.
  • Technical skills include MS Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. I am also familiar with various hotel systems including OPERA platforms. I have good understanding of scheduling work, and knowledge of cleaning procedures, chemicals and surfaces.
  • Familiar with Food and Beverage terminology, application, operation, wine service, costs, menu development food and hygiene codes and controlling inventory.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English with some knowledge of the local language and customs.
  • Valid European work permit is mandatory.
