HR Generalist Iberia

About the role:

We are looking for an HR Generalist to join our South Europe HR team and play a key role in supporting our people agenda. The role is mainly focused on Spain, with lighter coordination support for Greece, and offers the opportunity to contribute to selected South Europe initiatives.  This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being close to the business and to employees, combining hands-on HR support with regional exposure. You will work closely with the Regional HR Lead South Europe, the South Europe HR team, managers, employees, our HR centres of expertise, and HRIS to provide simple, practical, and high-quality HR support. The role requires confidence working in an international and matrix environment, balancing local needs with regional priorities. 

The impact you’ll make:

In this role, you will support employees and managers across the employee lifecycle, HR operations, payroll coordination, local people initiatives, and selected South Europe projects. You will be part of an international environment where ownership, collaboration, positive energy, and a strong employee experience matter. 

• Support the employee lifecycle: Manage key HR moments in Spain and coordinate Greece-related employee changes with the external provider, including onboarding, contract administration, employee changes, leaves, and offboarding. 


• Trusted HR focal point: Act as the main HR point of contact for Spain, providing practical guidance to employees and managers and coordinating Greece-related topics with the external provider where needed. 


• Keep HR processes clear and compliant: Maintain local HR processes, employee documentation, policy guidance, and standard letters, ensuring consistency with company standards, local requirements, and employee relations needs in Spain and Greece. 


• Own payroll accuracy and controls: Coordinate payroll inputs, checks, and controls with internal and external partners. 


• Support local payroll and statutory obligations: Help ensure compliance with local payroll, employment, reporting, collective agreement, audit, and mandatory HR requirements in Spain, and coordinate Greece-related topics through the external provider and local advisors where needed. 


• Manage time, absence, and HR data: Support timekeeping, absence management, attendance processes, HR data quality, and employee status changes in SuccessFactors and other relevant systems.  


• Administer benefits and HR vendors: Support local benefits, insurance, vendor coordination, and related HR administration. 


• Use data and AI responsibly: Explore digital and AI-enabled tools to simplify work, improve insights, and enhance the employee and manager experience. 


• Support local engagement and communication: Help translate company and South Europe people priorities into simple, engaging messages and contribute to a positive, inclusive, and compliant work environment. 


• Own selected South Europe topics and projects: Contribute to the broader South Europe HR agenda by owning selected topics or projects, such as engagement actions, employee experience initiatives, process improvements, or other dedicated HR priorities. 


• Provide regional back-up where needed: Support continuity across South Europe by acting as a back-up for selected France and Italy HR activities when required. 


• Collaborate across teams: Work effectively with managers, employees, HR colleagues, HRIS, payroll providers, finance, legal, and other stakeholders, bringing ownership, collaboration, positive energy, and a solution-oriented mindset. 

Reporting line: 
Regional HR Lead South Europe 

The skills and knowledge you’ll bring:

• Education: A degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Law, or a related field. 


• HR experience: Solid experience in HR generalist, HR operations, or payroll coordination roles, with proven ability to work in an international or matrix organization. 


• Payroll and HR operations mindset: Good understanding of payroll coordination, HR administration, employee lifecycle processes, documentation, and HR data accuracy. 


• Digital and AI curiosity: Confidence with HR systems, data, Excel, and digital tools, plus curiosity to explore AI-enabled solutions that improve efficiency, quality, and employee experience. 


• Local HR knowledge: Good understanding of Spanish labour law and HR practices, with the ability to coordinate Greece-related topics through local advisors and providers where needed. 


• Languages: Full professional proficiency in Spanish and English. 


• A human and practical approach: Curiosity, discretion, approachability, and pragmatism, with the ability to build trust, listen actively, and translate business needs into simple HR solutions. 


• Ownership and autonomy: Bring initiative, autonomy, learning agility, and the ability to balance local HR support with selected South Europe responsibilities.
