Interior Designer for Aircraft Interiors

The designer is responsible for creating new designs of aircraft/train interior and exterior livery structures. They must be able to create designs that are aesthetics, modern, original and in compliance with aeronautic rules. The candidate must also be able to work with different types of materials and provide moodboards to the clients.

Our ideal candidate is someone who has a well-established knowledge in interiors design and complex 3D environment building, also dedicated to learn and improve.

Designing the interior and on board components of an aircraft (seats, panels, accessories) requires high level of understanding abstract shapes, measurements and ratios, high level of attention to details and precision.

The goal of the design department is to engage existing and new costumers, to support sales team and to establish the work guidelines for the production team, providing full interior details, 3D modeling and visualization services. The final product must be accurate and meets everyone's expectations.

Main responsibilities:

• Conceptualize, plan, and produce appealing designs of onboard components and accessories within the interior environment of the aircraft, as well as occasionally exterior livery paint visualization for clients and internal development projects.
• Achieve photo-realistic magazine quality results with rendering engines.
• Additional asset creation (furniture, pats, props, etc.).
• Contribute to and manage a library of assets.
• Coordinate directly with Sales Manager, Project Manager or Management to discuss project details and review renderings for feedback.
• Provide insight and design expertise when needed.
• Develop new techniques and introduce new tools.
• Establish direct contact with clients and providers.

3. Minimum requirements:

• Demonstrable professional experience as an interior designer (preferably in aviation)
• Fluent in English both written and verbally
• Pro-active approach, being able to work independently and follow instructions
• Capability to work on individual projects parallel
• Team player with good communication skills.
• Enthusiasm for new challenges and learning new systems.
• Detail oriented and decisive
• Interest in aviation and railway industries
• Knowledge of 3D modeling production workflow
• Knowledge of high resolution still image, previews and animation generating
• Photogrammetry
