Job Description

Enfinity Global is seeking a seasoned leader with over two decades of experience in land acquisition, project development, and commissioning within the solar and wind energy sectors. The ideal candidate will bring strategic vision, deep industry knowledge, and a proven track record of executing large-scale renewable energy projects across India.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Planning

• Develop and lead the national land acquisition strategy for utility-scale solar and wind energy projects.
• Align land acquisition plans with long-term business development goals, regulatory frameworks, and financial targets.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate land strategy into overall project development and execution plans.

Land Identification & Due Diligence

• Spearhead the identification of high-potential land parcels across diverse geographies, ensuring optimal site selection for energy generation.
• Oversee comprehensive legal, environmental, and technical due diligence to assess land viability and mitigate risks.

Negotiation & Contract Management

• Lead high-stakes negotiations with landowners, aggregators, government bodies, and other stakeholders to secure land rights.
• Ensure robust documentation including MoUs, lease agreements, sale deeds, and right-of-way contracts, in compliance with legal standards.

Regulatory & Statutory Compliance

• Ensure full adherence to central, state, and local regulations governing land acquisition and renewable energy projects.
• Liaise with legal teams and government authorities to obtain necessary permits, clearances, and approvals.

Stakeholder & Community Engagement

• Build and nurture long-term relationships with landowners, local communities, panchayats, and government officials.
• Proactively manage community relations, addressing concerns and fostering goodwill to ensure smooth project execution.

Project Development & Commissioning Support

• Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) teams to ensure timely handover of land for project development.
• Support end-to-end project lifecycle from land acquisition to commissioning, ensuring alignment with timelines and budgets.

Team Leadership & Capability Building

• Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of land acquisition professionals across multiple regions.
• Establish KPIs, monitor performance, and drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.

• Minimum 15 years of experience in land acquisition within the renewable energy sector.
• Candidates with understanding of project development and process would be preferred.
• Deep understanding of land laws, regulatory frameworks, and government processes.
• Strong leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to navigate complex socio-political environments with tact and integrity.
