We're looking for a proactive and skilled Laser Service Engineer to support the delivery, installation, and maintenance of high-performance automated laser systems used in cutting-edge applications.

What You'll Be Doing

• Take a hands-on role in installing, aligning, and servicing advanced free-space laser systems both remotely and on-site at leading research institutions and industrial facilities worldwide.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues, including hardware faults, optical misalignments, and software glitches, using a mix of repair, rework, and preventive maintenance strategies.
• Perform root cause analysis to uncover underlying problems and implement long-term solutions.
• Collaborate closely with customers and internal teams to ensure fast, effective service and outstanding user experiences.
• Keep detailed records of service activities, including diagnostics, repairs, and system improvement recommendations.
• Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying recurring issues and suggesting design or process enhancements.

What Were Looking For

• A degree in Physics, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Practical experience working with lasers or optical setups in lab or industrial environments.
• Strong understanding of mechanical and electronic systems, with hands-on skills in assembly and troubleshooting.
• Clear and confident communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
• Familiarity with programming tools like LabVIEW, Python, or similar is a big plus.
• Willingness and ability to travel internationally.
