ROLE SUMMARY

The International Medical Communications & Content (IMCC) team is part of the The International Medical & Scientific Communications (MSC) structure in the R&D organization.  The IMCC team drives local medical channel content strategy across the Oncology, Primary Care, Specialty Care, and Vaccines portfolio across our International Division.  The team aligns closely with the Global Medical Channel Content Teams and other key cross-functional partners to conceptualize, adapt/develop, and disseminate all ex-US medical content through publications, congresses, medical-to-medical interactions, digital channels, and other newly prioritized internal and external ex-US specific medical channels.

Medical Communication and Content Specialist (Junior) supports the Italian MSC activities by helping deliver compliant, insight‑driven, omnichannel medical content and ensuring operational excellence across the full content lifecycle. This role is ideal for a motivated junior scientific professional eager to grow in medical content and omnichannel excellence within MSC.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

A. Omnichannel Execution & Content Operations

  • Support the execution of omnichannel medical communication strategies for Italy across all therapeutic areas.
  • Adapt global/US content for the Italian market, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and alignment with MSC content reuse and metadata standards.
  • Help create briefs for new or reused content following Italy’s standardized localization and review workflows.

B. Analytics & Reporting

  • Collect and report channel performance metrics across Medical Channels.
  • Maintain dashboards to support MSC KPIs.

D. Digital Platforms Activation

  • Provide operational support during the rollout of new MSC technologies or capability-building initiatives.

E. Cross‑Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with Italy Medical Affairs,
  • Engage with the Spain–Italy MSC group to share best practices, harmonize ways of working, and drive cross‑country consistency.
  • Support planning and execution for scientific events, congress activities, and content‑related deliverables.

F. Governance & Compliance Ensure all content and processes comply with Italian regulations, Pfizer SOPs, and MSC governance frameworks.

  • Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and enhance content quality, reuse, and operational efficiency.

QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Degree in a scientific or healthcare-related field (e.g., Biology, Pharmacy, Medicine, Biotechnology).
  • Proficiency and strong written and verbal communication skills in Italian and English.
  • Good affinity for digital tools, platforms, and analytics.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Interest in medical content, omnichannel communications, and modern scientific communication practices.
  • Previous internship/experience in pharma, healthcare, digital communications, or scientific content. Experience in Medical Communication and Content being desirable.
  • Exposure to Italian medical review processes or medical information workflows.

·       Strong organizational skills to track numerous tasks for multiple simultaneous projects in a deadline-oriented environment

·       Track record of good presentation and interpersonal skills

·       Fully conversant with relevant regulations and Pfizer policies and procedures acquired through training

·       Ability to work in a matrix environment with shown flexibility and organizational awareness

·       Solution focused with a flexible and pragmatic approach

·       Strong drive to learn and positive attitude to different ways of working

·       Attention to detail and strong compliance mindset.

·       Adaptability, positive mindset, and willingness to learn and grow within MSC.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:

The role interacts regularly with:

  • Italy Medical Affairs.
  • Spain–Italy MSC team.
  • International MSC and Global Medical Channel Excellence teams,
  • Digital and external agencies,
  • Global platform teams.

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Strong written and oral skills in Italian and English
