Join Julius Baer as Middle Office Specialist – Asset Management Companies.

YOUR CHALLENGE

  • Accounting of the Sicavs/Funds, in compliance with local regulations

  • Daily Asset & Portolio Valuation. NAV calculation & validation

  • Close monitoring of the services provided by the external Administrator of the collective Investment vehicles, and with the Depository

  • Regulatory & Tax Reporting related to Sicavs and Mutual Funds, and for Julius Baer Gestion

  • Relation with Regulators (CNMV-Stock Exchange-Bank of Spain). Contracts & Documentation

  • Support to JB Gestion and Mutual Funds & Sicavs Auditors: Annual Accounts, Compliance, Asset Protection, AML, Group Internal Audits

  • Manage GMIS (Global Management Information System): Calculation and Control of Revenues, Asset under Management, Net new Money

  • Coordinate Corporate Secretary functions (Board of Directors, Shareholder’s Meetings), relation with Registry of Commerce

Cooperate with the rest of the team in relation to the following functions:

  • Trade Settlement: Monitoring, Sicav Shares trading.

  • Treasury, Cash Management: Cash Flow, FXs, Repos, Deposits

  • Billing: Calculation, Accrual, Processing, Control

  • Client Reporting. Monthly: generation, review, delivery. Reconciliations. Cash, Holdings, Provisions

  • Portfolio Model set up (Recons, Benchmarks, Asset Classification)

  • Acc Opening: Bloomberg, Depositories, NAV System, Allfunds, brokers

  • Sicav & MFs Shareholders: account opening, maintenance, funding, trading

  • Corporate Actions. Tax Reclaim documentation. Delivery, Follow up with Tax Authorities & Custodian

  • Understands the requirements from the business in order to provide the best service to the RMs, PMs and Clients

YOUR PROFILE

  • Client focused and a results-driven individual

  • Passion for quality and service excellence

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills

  • Able to build trust and respect

  • 5+ years of experience in Middle Office or operations area in an Asset Management Company (Gestora), performing similar functions.

  • Deep knowledge on Spanish regulations related to Accounting, Audit, Regulatory & Tax Reporting for Mutual Funds & Sicavs -both UCITs and Alternative-, Portfolios and other investment vehicles

  • Knowledge on all operational aspects related to the investments of the vehicles (trading, execution, settlement, cash management etc.)

  • Understands the requirements from the business to provide the best service to the Relationship Managers, Portfolio Managers and Clients

  • Understands and applies the Internal Policies and Security Standards

  • High level of English (written & spoken)
