Descripción del trabajo - Operational Risk Management Specialist
Risk Management is essential to sustaining Kantox's growth and safeguarding its innovative business model. We are seeking an experienced Risk Specialist to support, enhance, and contribute to a comprehensive risk framework that ensures resilience and alignment with regulatory standards. This role is key in proactively identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks across all operational areas, embedding a culture of risk awareness and accountability.
A Risk Specialist helps protect Kantox's business and related activities by ensuring a global and comprehensive vision of the Market Risks, Liquidity Risks, Counterparty Risks, Credit Risks and Operational Risks of Kantox.
Profile:
Risk expertise: Proven experience in designing and implementing operational risk frameworks, with a strong understanding of risk assessment methodologies, control testing, incident management and root cause analysis.
Regulatory acumen: In-depth knowledge of regulatory and operational risk requirements and industry standards relevant to financial institutions, ensuring compliance and proactive mitigation of regulatory risks such as DORA, GDPR, etc.
Strategic leadership: Collaboration and cross-functional communication experience to support control development and operational resilience.
Your Role:
Design, implement, and maintain an operational risk management framework, including assessment methodologies, control testing, and incident management procedures.
Embed a culture of risk awareness across teams, supporting accountability and governance under the three lines of defense model.
Collaborate cross-functionally to identify, assess, and mitigate operational risks across all business units, including risks from new product features or business changes.
Produce detailed and actionable risk reports to inform senior management and support strategic decision-making.
Improve and scale risk processes to align with business growth and regulatory expectations.
Coordinate with internal stakeholders and support responses to regulatory inquiries (e.g., DORA, GDPR).
Deliver training sessions and resources to empower teams with proactive risk recognition and mitigation strategies.
Work closely with Risk Owners and leadership to ensure comprehensive end-to-end risk coverage.
Requirements / Experience
Minimum of 4 years of experience in incident management, operational risk management, or a related field.
Strong command of risk indicators (KRIs), risk registers, and root cause analysis methodologies.
Demonstrated knowledge of financial regulations and compliance frameworks (e.g., DORA, GDPR).
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Risk Management, Finance, or a related field.
Proven ability to work cross-functionally with departments unfamiliar with risk management concepts.
Exceptional communication, coordination, and organizational skills.
Comfortable in fast-paced environments, with a high degree of adaptability.
