Your Role
We are looking for a Programmer and Industrial Automation Specialist for the Maintenance team, who will report to the Electrical Maintenance Manager at the Els Monjos plant. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, updating, and implementing the plant control systems (PLCs, SCADA, and HMI), ensuring the preservation and continuous improvement of the facilities and minimizing production downtime due to failures.
What you will do
- PLC programming and system commissioning.
- Modify and optimize control systems for production lines.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and electronic faults.
- Plan and perform preventive maintenance activities in the control systems area.
- Install new control systems and communication networks (PLC, SCADA, HMI).
- Provide technical support for new installation and automation projects.
- Update and modify PLC programs for plant automation systems.
- Collaborate in project execution, mainly in PLC programming, control panels, SCADA, and HMI systems.
What we are looking for
- 5 years of experience in a similar position and in an industrial environment.
- Technical training in the maintenance of packaging machinery and continuous process equipment, as well as programming different PLC platforms, will be highly valued.
- Bachelor’s degree in in Electrical Engineering, in Automation and Control Engineering or Higher Technician in Industrial Automation and Robotics or similar
- Fluent in English and Spanish
- SAP
- PLC (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Schneider, etc.)
- SCADA y HMI
