We're looking for a Public Affairs & Lobbying Specialist for our headquarters located in Castellbisbal (Barcelona).


 


Your key responsibilities will be:


Working in the CELSA Corporate Public Affairs Team, and reporting to Head of Public Affairs & Sustainability, key responsibilities include:



  • Monitoring and analysing EU policy and regulatory developments relevant to CELSA

  • Helping develop CELSA public policy positions and defend its legitimate interests, including carrying out research, preparation of files, compiling and analysing information, drafting position papers, recommendations, speeches, presentations and briefing notes for both internal and external distribution

  • Working with internal and external experts on policy and regulatory matters

  • Establish regular contact with consultants, political advisers and assistants, civil servants, and sectoral associations to keep them informed about policy concerns.

  • Organise and attend meetings, conferences and seminars related to these stakeholders

  • Helping develop the network of policy contacts, notably in Brussels and Madrid


What are we asking for?



  • Bachelor’s degree in Law. Master’s degree is preferred.

  • 2-3 years of experience in a related field.

  • The ideal profile should have experience as an Accredited Parlamentary Assistant (APA).

  • In-depth knowledge of the EU institutions and decision-making

  • Experience working in or with EU Institutions and the EU political and legislative system and processes, preferable in industrial and/or sustainability issues

  • Pro-active, strong networker and team player with excellent interpersonal skills

  • Well organised, self-motivated, with rationale thinking

  • Able to work under pressure, prioritise workload and meet strict deadlines

  • Strong written and oral communication skills in both English and Spanish

  • Availability to travel 50% of time mainly to Brussels.
