Overview:

As we continue to expand our product portfolio and market presence, we are seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to join our Barcelona office. This role will be responsible for managing supplier compliance, documentation, and audits, while supporting the broader Quality team in maintaining and enhancing NSI Group’s rigorous food safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage supplier documentation, including approvals, renewals, and expirations, ensuring compliance with company, customer, and regulatory requirements.
Review, challenge, and maintain supplier documentation with strong attention to detail.
Review, organize, and challenge food safety and quality documentation; maintain accurate records in internal systems.
Conduct supplier and facility audits, identify non-conformances, and drive corrective actions. (10–20% travel may be required)
Organize and manage documentation, renewals, and non-conformances.
Support the Supplier Approval Program Manager, Director of Quality, and VP of Quality in maintaining and improving company food safety and quality programs.
(Optional, as needed) Assist the QC team with lab testing, SOP updates, and client/regulatory compliance inquiries.
Qualifications:
4-5 years of Quality Assurance experience, ideally within food manufacturing and/or private label/retail.
Strong knowledge of food safety and quality management systems (GFSI schemes such as BRCGS, IFS, FSSC 22000).
Proficiency with quality/document management systems (Registrar Corp, TraceGains, SafetyCulture, or similar preferred).
PCQI (Preventive Controls Qualified Individual) certification or willingness to certify with NSI.
Proven experience with supplier documentation, audits, and compliance programs.
Familiarity with raw material suppliers, co-packers, and contract manufacturers.
Exposure to QC lab environments, including testing, SOP development, and client compliance requests.
Experience conducting or supporting facility audits.
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.
Strong written and verbal communication skills; English required, Spanish a plus.
Work environment:
Remote work available but candidates must be living in close proximity to NSI’s office in Barcelona for in-office or in-person meetings.
Candidates must be flexible in regards to their schedule to accommodate working with an international team
Willingness and ability to travel, up to 20%, internationally.
