Application Tester

About the Role:

We are looking for a skilled Application Tester to support a key international organisation dedicated to intellectual property systems and global trademark registration. This team is responsible for supporting and enhancing digital services used by both internal stakeholders and external applicants across multiple jurisdictions.

You’ll be part of a collaborative software development and QA team focused on ensuring high-quality delivery of new and existing features for web-based platforms. This includes both manual and automated testing of systems built on Angular, REST, SQL, and other modern technologies.

You’ll also contribute to the continuous integration and deployment pipeline (CI/CD), play an active role in test documentation and defect management, and help shape and improve QA processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute manual integration, regression, system, API, and user acceptance tests.

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium, Rest Assured, Cucumber, and related tools.

• Embed automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous quality assurance.

• Collaborate with developers, analysts, and fellow testers to ensure high-quality deliverables.

• Analyse business requirements and transform them into detailed test cases and scenarios.

• Perform non-functional testing such as performance and load tests (using Postman, JMeter).

• Record and manage defects in JIRA, ensuring traceability of test results and resolutions.

• Create and maintain comprehensive test documentation and reports.

• Contribute to QA process improvements and best practices adoption.

• Manual Testing: Functional, Integration, Regression, UAT

• Automation: Selenium, Rest Assured, Cucumber

• Performance Testing: Postman, JMeter

• Languages & Data: JSON, XML, SQL, Java, JUnit

• Auth & Integration: OAuth2, REST, SOAP

• CI/CD Integration

Required Experience:

• 5–10 years of experience in QA and software testing

• Deep understanding of the SDLC and modern QA methodologies

• Strong experience in both manual and automated testing

• Proven ability to work closely with developers and testers in collaborative teams

• Hands-on experience with test tools and defect management systems

Nice to Have:

• Experience testing legacy systems or large-scale enterprise environments

• Familiarity with intellectual property or trademark systems is a plus
