As a Customer Solutions Consultant, you will be a key partner to our customers, helping them maximise the value of the platform by enabling them on the Confluent solutions they use while caring for the technical health, maturity, and scalability of their deployments.
In this role, you’ll work with a portfolio of customers, working closely with internal and customer stakeholders to understand their goals and challenges. You’ll enable customers at a technical level on the platform’s features, spot opportunities to improve technical health, and identify areas for growth that align with business goals.

You’ll work with some of the world’s most well-known companies, helping them drive mission-critical outcomes. Be a Trusted Technical Partner for Customers: Foster strong relationships with customers by establishing yourself as their go-to technical advisor. Help customers enable and maximise their use of the Confluent platform, with a strong focus on technical health that ensures long-term, sustainable growth.
Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with Sales and Customer Success to identify opportunities and communicate the technical value of Confluent to a wide range of customer stakeholders and help identify new opportunities.
Analytical and Strategic Advisory: Serve as a key technical contact to identify opportunities to improve the customer’s current setup and feature usage. Make strategic recommendations that align their technical path with business goals. Qualify technical scenarios to connect customers with the right internal experts (e.g., Flink, networking, disaster recovery, and others).
Analytical skills – the ability to spot patterns, inconsistencies, and areas of opportunity.
Strategic thinking – using multiple inputs to shape customer-focused insights and long-term planning.
Communication mastery – Excellent presentation and communication skills, capable of explaining complex issues and solutions to a highly skilled and experienced audience. Delivering clear, structured, assertive messaging to various technical and business stakeholders.
Learning agility – adapting quickly to new contexts and a strong interest in new technologies.
Strong motivation and ambition to consistently grow and develop in a dynamic, high-growth environment.
Proficiency in English – written and verbal.
This hybrid work position transitions into a remote position upon completion after one year. For the first year, you will be expected to come into the Barcelona office 3 times a week.
Proficiency in additional languages besides English.
Preferred but not required is a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, a quantitative field, or related experience in a technical domain.
Up to 5 years of prior experience working in a technology company or related field
Experience building solutions with Apache Kafka, Hadoop, relational and NoSQL databases, message queues, APIs, and related products.
Proficiency in Java or other modern programming languages and distributed systems.
A basic understanding of Linux (e.g., Red Hat or Debian)
