The HR Manager is responsible for leading the HR function for Raw, overseeing HR operations across all jurisdictions where the company operates — including Spain, Malta, and the UK — as well as for remote independent contractors. This is a hands-on role that blends strategic planning with practical execution across the full HR spectrum.
The HR Manager leads a small HR and Office team and is expected to structure workflows, delegate tasks clearly, and support the development and performance of the team. The ideal candidate has solid HR experience in Spain, strong knowledge of Spanish labour law, and is fluent in both Spanish and English. Experience working across multiple jurisdictions and with international teams is a strong advantage.The HR Manager is responsible for the full recruitment lifecycle across the company, including employees in Spain, Malta, the UK, and independent contractors. This includes:
Planning recruitment with managers, writing job ads, and advertising in relevant channels
Sourcing candidates directly or via recruitment partners and managing the selection process
Handling offers, contracts, and onboarding across multiple jurisdictions
Ensuring compliance with local laws and delivering a positive candidate experience
HR Strategy and Planning:
Turn HR goals into practical plans that support day-to-day operations
Work with leadership to anticipate HR needs and offer realistic solutions
Support workforce planning, retention, and development initiatives
Employee Relations and Engagement:
Be the first point of contact for employee queries, conflicts, and support
Advise managers on employee relations, performance issues, and disciplinary steps
Coordinate team-building, recognition programs, and engagement activities
HR Administration and Compliance:
Ensure accurate records, contracts, and documentation across jurisdictions
Maintain the HRIS and ensure data is compliant with GDPR
Stay current with employment laws — especially in Spain — and ensure full compliance
Coordinate payroll and benefits with external providers
Keep documentation, procedures, and systems in good order
Manage local office budgets and contracts
Performance Management:
Oversee performance review cycles and goal-setting processes
Support managers in giving clear, constructive feedback
Coordinate training and development where needed
Compensation and Benefits:
Assist with salary reviews and benchmarking
Help shape compensation policies that are fair, competitive, and aligned with business goals
Monitor market trends and suggest improvements
Team Leadership and Reporting:
Structure, lead, and support the HR and Office team
Delegate tasks clearly and follow up to ensure delivery
Conduct regular check-ins and performance reviews
Report regularly to the Chief People Officer
Coordinate with the broader HR function to ensure consistency across Raw
Identify risks or bottlenecks early and act on them
Take on any other HR or office-related responsibilities as needed
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources or a related field
4–5+ years of HR experience, with strong knowledge of Spanish labour law
Experience working across countries or with distributed teams
Fluent in Spanish and English
Strong leadership, delegation, and team development skills
Hands-on, proactive, and pragmatic approach
Discreet and professional in handling sensitive matters
Confident using HRIS systems and modern digital tools
