Engagement Type: Independent Contractor (B2B Services Agreement only; examples are Autónomo (Spain), AB (Sweden) and GmbH (Switzerland)) 
 

Travel: Optional / Occasional client or industry events (self-managed) 

Engagement Overview 

Veridix AI (part of Emmes Group) is engaging an independent lead generation consultant to support pipeline development activities across the European biotech, pharma, and clinical research markets. 

This engagement is strictly business-to-business (B2B). The contractor operates as an independent entity responsible for their own working methods, schedule, tools, taxes, and operating structure. 

The primary objective of this engagement is to generate and qualify new business opportunities for Veridix AI’s eClinical and AI-powered clinical trial solutions.

Veridix AI is the AI and technology arm of Emmes Group, a global clinical research organization with 47+ years of experience supporting clinical trials in over 70 countries. 

We develop advanced eClinical and AI-driven solutions that support: 

• Clinical trial data capture and management  

• Randomization and study design workflows  

• Biospecimen tracking  

• Data quality monitoring  

• GenAI-enabled automation for study builds and documentation  

Scope of Services (Independent Contractor) 

The contractor will independently design and execute strategies to support: 

1. Lead Generation & Outreach

• Identify and engage potential clients in biotech, pharma, CRO, and government research sectors  

• Conduct outbound outreach using contractor-owned tools and methods (email, LinkedIn, networking, events)  

• Generate awareness and interest in Veridix AI solutions  

• Build and maintain a personal or firm-owned pipeline of prospects  

2. Opportunity Identification & Qualification

• Identify early-stage opportunities aligned to Veridix AI offerings  

• Conduct initial qualification conversations  

• Assess commercial and technical fit  

• Pass qualified opportunities to Veridix AI internal commercial teams for further engagement  

3. Market Intelligence

• Monitor industry trends in clinical trials, AI in healthcare, and eClinical technologies  

• Identify relevant research programs, funding activity, and digital transformation initiatives  

• Provide informal insights based on market engagement  

4. Campaign Support (Independent Execution)

• Design and execute outreach campaigns independently or via contractor-owned systems  

• Develop messaging and targeting strategies aligned to ideal customer profiles  

• Optimize outreach approaches based on engagement results  

5. Reporting (Lightweight & Outcome-Based)

• Provide periodic summaries of:  

• Outreach activity  

• Leads identified  

• Qualified opportunities passed to Veridix AI  

• No requirement for daily reporting or internal operational meetings  

Conference Support (Independent Execution) 

• Attend conferences and represent Veridix 

Contractor Autonomy Requirements 

To ensure proper classification as an independent contractor, the following conditions apply: 

• Contractor determines their own working hours and schedule  

• Contractor uses their own tools, systems, and infrastructure  

• Contractor may work with other clients simultaneously  

• Contractor is responsible for their own taxes, insurance, and social contributions  

• No exclusivity is required  

• No integration into internal reporting lines or employee structures  

Deliverables / Success Outcomes 

Success is measured by outcomes, not activity: 

• Number of qualified leads generated  

• Number of sales-accepted opportunities passed to Veridix AI  

• Pipeline value influenced or created  

• Quality of engagement with target accounts  

• Conversion rate from outreach → qualified opportunity  

• 8–10+ years in:  

• Lead generation, outbound prospecting, or demand generation  

• OR business development with strong top-of-funnel focus  

• Experience in biotech, pharma, CRO, or clinical research environments preferred  

• Proven ability to generate pipeline in complex B2B enterprise markets  

• Familiarity with CRM systems (Salesforce or equivalent preferred)  

• Strong ability to independently structure outreach and engagement strategies
