Proposal Writer / Grant Writer / Innovation Consultant

Our client is looking for a Proposal Writer / Grant writer / Innovation Consultant with hands-on experience in EU proposal writing to join our team in Madrid. This is a hybrid position with a long-term career opportunity and a competitive salary based on experience and training (fixed wage + performance-based bonuses).

Who Are We Looking For:

- An experienced professional with a scientific and technical background (preferably in agricultural engineering, biotechnology, environmental sciences, or related fields).

-Candidates should have at least 3 years of experience and a proven track record of writing 4-5 EU proposals (H2020, BBI JU, CBE JU, HE Cluster 6, etc.).

This is not a training positionwe need someone who understands EU proposal writing and can start contributing independently.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the preparation and writing of full EU collaborative proposals (+10 partners) with minimal supervision.

Support both proposal writing and project management tasks, including:

Technical benchmarking of proposed solutions.

Market studies and business plans.

Work plan development and project implementation support.

Work closely with senior colleagues and project partners.

Requirements

Mandatory Skills:

C2-level English & Spanish (oral and written).

3+ years of experience in EU proposal writing.

Experience writing at least 2 full EU-level collaborative proposals (+10 partners).

Technical scientific university degree (Masters level) in agricultural engineering, biotechnology, environmental sciences, biology, or related fields.

Experience in a technical position involving report writing, scientific papers, or similar tasks.

Bonus Points:

Experience in grant management (technical and financial reporting).

Background in business & economics and experience in team coordination.

Knowledge of R&D and innovation public funding structures.

Additional language skills.
