We are seeking a Technical Expert in Public R&D Funding to join our Spanish team. This is a client-facing, technical-consulting role that combines engineering or scientific expertise with deep knowledge of the Spanish public funding ecosystem. You will evaluate technological R&D projects, identify funding opportunities, coordinate high-quality applications, and ensure smooth communication with clients and funding bodies.

As part of PNO Innovation’s Spanish team, your mission is to drive innovation by securing public funding for groundbreaking R&D projects. You will act as a trusted partner for technology-driven clients, helping them navigate complex funding schemes, maximise their chances of success, and ensure their projects generate tangible impact.

Your tasks 1st part (in max 4 bullets)

Monitor and analyse national funding calls (CDTI, AEIs, PERTEs, etc.).
Meet with technology clients to assess technical and strategic project feasibility.
Interpret regulatory guidelines and applicable legislation (national and EU).
Coordinate application processes, from documentation gathering to quality review.

Liaise with funding agencies and follow up on submitted proposals.
Oversee the work of technical writers and ensure deliverable quality.
Support in technical writing of project reports when needed.
Contribute to business development activities in the Spanish market.

Degree in engineering, sciences, or a technical discipline.
Solid knowledge of Spain’s public funding ecosystem for R&D.
Proven experience in similar roles within consultancy, technology companies, or public agencies.
Strong ability to interpret regulatory frameworks and administrative guidelines.
