Descripción del trabajo - Sales Executive - France & Spain

Protecmedia develops and provides cloud-based software and services for news and media companies, helping them manage newsroom operations, advertising, subscriptions, and audience analytics to support their digital transformation and profitability. Their solutions include digital asset management, multi-channel content creation, audience segmentation, and tools to boost revenue from both digital and traditional sources.

We are looking for a hunter sales profile, with a strong new business mindset, capable of developing the French market as the main priority, while also managing and growing part of the existing client base in Spain and France.

This person will play a key role in opening new doors, building a high-quality pipeline, identifying upselling and cross-selling opportunities, and closing new accounts within media groups and publishing companies.

Fantastic opportunity for a sales professional with energy, autonomy, and ambition, who combines active prospecting with strong consultative selling skills and a results-driven approach.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the sales strategy to drive growth in France, the priority market for this role.
  • Identify, prospect, and close new clients within the media, publishing, and editorial sectors.
  • Manage and grow part of the existing customer base in Spain and France, identifying expansion opportunities.
  • Own the full sales cycle: prospecting, qualification, discovery, solution presentation, proposal, negotiation, and closing.
  • Build trusted relationships with business and technology decision-makers, including general management, digital leadership, editorial leadership, operations, audience, and advertising teams.
  • Understand client needs and translate them into tailored value propositions based on Protecmedia’s solutions.
  • Work closely with internal pre-sales, product, customer success, and delivery teams to ensure strong proposals and smooth commercial handovers.
  • Maintain disciplined pipeline management and sales activity tracking in CRM.
  • Represent the company at meetings, trade shows, industry events, and networking opportunities when needed.
  • Provide market intelligence on competitors, trends, and business opportunities in France and Spain.

Knowledge, skills and abilities:

  • B2B sales professional with a strong hunter mindset, highly focused on market development and results.
  • Proven experience in selling software, SaaS, or technology solutions.
  • Experience selling into media, publishing, adtech, martech, CMS, digital transformation, or complex enterprise software environments is highly valued.
  • Ability to generate business through direct prospecting, networking, referrals, and long-term relationship development.
  • Consultative sales profile, with the ability to understand client processes and sell value rather than just product features.
  • Autonomous, organized, resilient, and accountable. - Excellent communication, influencing, and negotiation skills.
  • Comfortable working with ambitious sales targets and consultative sales cycles.

Must-have:

  • Based in Madrid.
  • Bilingual French.
  • Previous experience in international business development or consultative sales.
  • Availability to travel, especially to France.

Nice to have:

  • German language skills.
  • Network within the media, publishing, or technology ecosystem.
  • Experience combining account management with hunting/new business development.  Knowledge of CRM tools and consultative sales methodologies.
  • Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Commerce, Communications, or related fields.
