Sales Manager Convention & Resort Network, EMEA - (10 Month FTC Maternity Cover)- Spain

Position Summary

The Convention & Resort Network (CRN), EMEA plays a strategic role in driving group, meetings, incentives, conferences, and events revenue to Marriott International convention, resort, and high-capacity hotels across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. The role serves as a trusted partner to hotels, global sales teams, and customers by identifying the most suitable properties for complex group opportunities and maximizing conversion opportunities across the portfolio. The position builds strong customer relationships, supports business growth initiatives, and promotes Marriott International’s convention and resort destinations throughout the region. This is a fixed-term maternity cover position. 

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Education and Experience Preferred

• Minimum 3-5 years’ relevant experience in Sales.


• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English (additional languages such as German, Spanish, or French are an advantage)


• Ability to identify buying signals, manage multiple priorities, and work effectively in a fast paced environment


• Confidence using systems and technology, with strong MS Office and SFA/OneSource skills and the ability to learn new tools quickly


• High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills


• Strong customer focus and a professional, service driven approach


• Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team


• Positive attitude, energy, and enthusiasm


• Good judgment, adaptability, and problem solving skills


• Candidates must be in good standing in terms of attendance and overall work performance

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

Core Work Activities

• Drive group and events revenue opportunities to Marriott convention and resort hotels across EMEA.


• Act as a subject matter expert on Marriott convention and resort portfolio.


• Managing Work, Projects and Policies


• Receiving, analyzing and loading new requests for groups/meetings in SFA Web in a timely manner


• Evaluate, qualify and respond to leads professionally and timely


• Follow‑up with hotels to ensure group meeting offers are submitted


• Act as liaison between customer and hotels for rate proposals and conversion


• Update and maintain SFA Web figures, status and seller activities


• Assist with reporting and month‑end activities


• Work towards achieving daily, weekly, and monthly revenue and lead goals


• Develop and maintain good relationships with clients and hotels


• Maintain high professionalism with clients and stakeholders


• Perform other duties and projects assigned by management

Maintaining Business Goals

• Maintain up‑to‑date lead response information in SFA Web


• Assist with closing business opportunities to meet goals


• Generate and organize reports

Demonstrating and Applying Knowledge

• Use MS Office, SFA Web and other tools


• Act decisively to recover from mistakes and propose solutions
