Scala Backend Developer

Valsea Technologies is looking for self-driven Scala developers. The position is hybrid, where we offer the possibility to sit in our amazing office in Marbella, Spain but we consider the option of being fully remote within the EU for the right profile.

Valsea Technologies is a global technical consultancy specialised in Scala and Javascript development. Our Scala chapter is divided into a set of teams that own different parts of the system that contain more than 30 microservices and are primarily built using the Lightbend stack.

Through our ongoing efforts in research and development, we are continuously enhancing our toolset to stay at the forefront of technology and deliver cutting-edge solutions for managing content, data, and performance at scale.

Technical skills

Most desirable
- Scala: Proficiency and hands-on experience.
- Event Sourcing & Akka: Building resilient systems is second nature to you.

 Desirable
- ElasticSearch & Kafka: Expertise in data management and querying.
- NoSQL (Cassandra): Strong database modeling and optimization skills.

 Nice to have
- GraphQL: Experience in creating and consuming APIs.
- GRPC: Familiarity with using this remote procedure call protocol.
- Docker & Kubernetes: Knowledge in containerization and orchestration.
- Play Framework: Comfortable building web applications using this tool
