In 2022, we acquired ARES (an assembly electronics company) and COIL (Installers of turnkey EV charging solutions). One year later, in 2023, we acquired ABL, the leading German EV charger manufacturer, which has allowed us to have a stronger presence in Europe.


Get in charge with Wallbox!



We are looking for a Senior Payroll & Rewards Specialist to join our People team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing end-to-end payroll processes across multiple European countries, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and an excellent employee experience. You will act as a key partner to People and Finance teams and play an active role in continuously improving payroll and rewards processes.



Responsibilities:


Payroll Management



  • Ensure accurate and timely end-to-end payroll processing for employees in assigned European countries.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax, Social Security, and labor regulations in each country to guarantee full compliance with local laws.


Interdepartmental Coordination



  • Collaborate closely with People and Finance teams to ensure the accuracy of payroll-related information.

  • Proactively identify and resolve payroll discrepancies or issues.


Benefits & Rewards Administration



  • Ensure the correct enrollment, modification, and termination of employee benefits such as health insurance, pension plans, and other payroll-related benefits.

  • Support rewards-related processes linked to payroll execution.


Data Management & Confidentiality



  • Collect, maintain, and process accurate payroll data, ensuring confidentiality, data integrity, and compliance with data protection standards.


Employee Support



  • Act as a point of contact for employees regarding payroll and benefits-related questions.

  • Provide timely, clear, and professional support to resolve issues.


Audit & Control



  • Perform regular payroll audits to identify potential errors or irregularities.

  • Maintain accurate and complete payroll documentation and records.


Continuous Improvement



  • Identify opportunities to improve payroll and rewards processes, increase efficiency, and reduce errors.

  • Contribute to the implementation of best practices, policies, and process enhancements.


Team Collaboration



  • Act as a strong team player, collaborating effectively in cross-functional and international projects.



Requirements:


Deep Payroll Expertise



  • Solid experience managing payroll in multiple European countries.

  • Strong understanding of local tax, Social Security, and labor regulations.


Technical Skills



  • Experience working with payroll software and external payroll providers.

  • Advanced skills in spreadsheets and data handling; database knowledge is a plus.


Communication Skills



  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to interact effectively with employees across different levels, functions, and cultures.


Attention to Detail



  • High level of accuracy and meticulous attention to detail when managing payroll data and calculations.


Additional Plus



  • Experience managing payroll outside Europe and/or working with multiple international payroll providers.


Education & Experience



  • Degree in Labor Relations, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll processing within a multinational environment, with a strong focus on European countries.
