The person we’re looking for:

PUBG Studios Spain is looking for a Senior Rendering Engineer to work at our studio in Zaragoza, to work in a cooperative, cross-disciplinary environment to help the team implement a wide variety of features and systems.

As a key member you will contribute to the success of the team working on rendering features on our new IP working closely with the Technical Art, Gameplay and tools teams. You will do performance profiling and optimizations and implement features to improve the visuals of the game, while mentoring other Rendering Engineers. This position reports to the Gameplay & Visuals Technical Director in Spain.

Responsibilities:

• Perform CPU and GPU performance profiling and optimizations.


• Research and develop real-time rendering techniques and features.


• Keep current on graphics technological developments and advancements.


• Review the work of other engineers and provide mentorship on your area of knowledge.


• Create and maintain technical design documents.


• Delve into code written by other engineers and take ownership of existing systems as needed.


• Collaborate with technology director on technical design and feature roll out.


• Write clear, maintainable, portable, and highly performant code.


• Communicate accurate status updates to your team leads, producers, and QA regarding tasks/features you are responsible for.


• Adhere to team coding standards and best practices.


• Foster a culture of open, honest, and respectful communication across all disciplines.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in software engineering, computer science, or equivalent.


• 5+ years of game industry experience and preferably 2 years or more in a similar role.


• Experience shipping games on current generation consoles (PS5 or XSX) and PC.


• Advanced ability to be self-directed, focused and detail oriented.


• Advanced C++ skills.


• Advanced CPU/GPU and memory optimization skills.


• Advanced debugging and performance analysis skills.


• Knowledge of performance and memory constraints as they relate to game development.


• Eye for photorealism and taste for aesthetics.


• Advanced 3D math skills.


• Advanced Knowledge in graphics pipelines and rendering techniques.


• Passion to explore new R&D ideas and new technology.


• Open-minded and willingness to continuously learn.


• Positive and enthusiastic attitude to take on new challenges.


• Advanced verbal and written communications skills.


• A demonstrable love / passion for playing and making video games.


• A highly collaborative disposition with excellent teamwork skills.
