We are looking for a Senior Stress Leader (m/w/d) in Getafe.

Your main tasks will be:

  • Perform, review, and approve structural sizing analyses and strength justifications for metallic and composite structures and components
  • Develop, modify, and validate finite element models for metallic and composite structures
  • Interpret, critically assess, and validate results derived from finite element analyses
  • Define test requirements, monitor test execution, and interpret test results in support of structural justification
  • Propose alternative analytical approaches or damage-mitigation solutions when required by analysis outcomes
  • Design and implement automation scripts to support calculation workflows and post-processing of analysis results
  • Prepare, review, and validate stress documentation, technical reports, and presentations, with particular focus on certification and strength justification
  • Communicate technical results clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Act as the technical interface with clients
  • Lead, coordinate, and supervise engineering work groups

About you:

  • Minimum of 8 years of demonstrated professional experience as a stress engineer
  • Proven experience in leading and managing engineering teams
  • University degree in Aeronautical Engineering or Industrial Engineering, preferably with a mechanical specialization
  • Strong communication skills with professional proficiency in both Spanish and English

Mandatory skills:

  • Execution, review, and validation of static stress analyses
  • Creation, modification, and validation of finite element models
  • Critical evaluation and validation of finite element analysis results
  • Preparation, review, and approval of stress and certification-related technical documentation
  • Advanced expertise in HYPERMESH and HYPERVIEW, including NASTRAN cards and standard solution methodologies
  • Proficient use of ISAMI static stress calculation modules
  • Experience with ISAMI F&DT modules
  • Functional knowledge of ABAQUS
  • Fatigue and damage tolerance analysis capabilities
  • Experience in planning, executing, and interpreting structural tests
  • Python programming skills, including the use of data management libraries
