Specialist VAS Design and Engineering

Engineering & Design: Provide expertise in telecommunications, roaming and VAS services to internal teams. Design, architect and review telecommunications and software solutions and services. Validate requirements and implementations. Manage network capacity. Support the onboarding, evolution and decommission of roaming services. Support project management activities (project and risk planning, vendor management). Coordinate complex technical deployments across multiple teams and technologies. Prepare and troubleshoot IP matrices; integrate OSS (FCAPS: monitoring, backup, BI data systems, etc.) Define test strategies and required setups for projects. Prepare and review project test books and technical test cases. Coordinate UAT project phases and conduct performance testing of new solutions and systems. In-depth knowledge of international roaming and roaming value-added services (Steering of Roaming, Welcome SMS, Virtual Home Environment, OTA). Broad expertise in telecommunications and network signalling technologies (2G/3G/4G/5G), and protocols: SIGTRAN (IP, SCTP, MTP, M2PA, M3UA, SCCP), SS7 (ISUP, MAP, TCAP, INAP, CAMEL), DIAMETER (s6a y Sh) and 5G (HTTP2, JSON). Good understanding of IT systems (architecture, design, databases, APIs) and software development methodologies (waterfall, agile), including software release management processes. Understanding of cloud and virtualization platforms (Openshift, VMware, AWS, GCP or Azure) and solid NFV cloud-native principles. Familiarity with network testing tools in general and Emblasoft Evolver in particular. Solid TCP/IP understanding, troubleshooting skills and packet analysis with Wireshark. Experience in web services, SOAP, SFTP, TLS, SSL certificates, SNMP, LDAP, etc. Knowledge of STP and DRS network elements is a plus. Knowledge of VoLTE and IOT/M2M desirable.
