The purpose of this position is to manage and grow sales within assigned accounts and territories by executing company sales strategies, developing new business opportunities, and maintaining strong customer relationships. This role is responsible for disciplined opportunity management in Salesforce, including documenting sales activities, creating, and maintaining an accurate pipeline, and providing timely updates that support forecasting. The Sales Manager is expected to consistently generate leads, pursue qualified prospects, and provide ongoing training and coaching related to lead generation and sales effectiveness.
Individual may manage 6 or more subordinate manager/supervisors and/or non-supervisory employees in the department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Education/Experience:
Four-year college or university program certificate; or eight to ten years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. In-depth working knowledge of sales methods, procedures and terminology is required. Graduate work is a preferred supplement. Knowledge of business and industry is required.
Qualifications:
Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems,
and to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, etc.) in its most difficult phases.
Certificates and Licenses: Valid unrestricted driver’s license is required.
Travel Requirements: 50% on average which includes overnight travel.
