Spain Branch Office\n\n## Job Area:\n\nEngineering Group, Engineering Group \u003e Machine Learning Engineering\n\nGeneral Summary:\n\nLocation: Madrid, Spain\n\nWe work at the very forefront of personalized AI\u2014secure, private, and reliable. \nOur team develops state\u2011of\u2011the\u2011art perception systems that run on Qualcomm XR chipsets deployed on millions of devices worldwide.\n\n## Job Description / Responsibilities\n\n * Stay current with state\u2011of\u2011the\u2011art research in Machine Perception (computer vision, machine learning, LLMs, world models, and related areas).\n\n * Research relevant papers and design, run, and evaluate experiments.\n\n * Define and drive perception performance KPIs (e.g., accuracy, latency, memory), including work on neural architecture search, quantization, and algorithmic improvements.\n\n * Partner with Product and Development teams to provide input on deploying ML models into production.\n\n * Collaborate with Hardware teams to provide technical feedback that informs future hardware decisions.\n\n\n\n\n## \n\n## Required Qualifications\n\n * 6+ years of relevant industry experience.\n\n * Strong background in computer vision and deep learning (e.g., detection, segmentation, tracking, 3D perception).\n\n * Excellent Python software engineering skills.\n\n * Expertise in PyTorch (or equivalent) and modern CV architectures (CNNs, Transformers).\n\n * Proven production ML experience, including training, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring of CV models.\n\n * Experience optimizing models for latency, memory, and quality, especially for edge or resource\u2011constrained systems.\n\n\n\n\n## \n\n## Preferred Qualifications\n\n * Solid C++ experience for performance\u2011critical components.\n\n * Experience with 3D vision and multi\u2011modal perception (depth, point clouds, sensor fusion).\n\n * Model and inference optimization experience (quantization, TensorRT, ONNX, edge deployment).\n\n * Familiarity with distributed training and MLOps (CI/CD, experiment tracking).\n\n * Domain experience in XR, robotics, or real\u2011time systems.\n\n\n\n\nMinimum Qualifications:\n\n\u2022 Bachelor\u0027s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field and 4+ years of Hardware Engineering, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience. \nOR \nMaster\u0027s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field and 3+ years of Hardware Engineering, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience. \nOR \nPhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field and 2+ years of Hardware Engineering, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience.\n\n*References to a particular number of years experience are for indicative purposes only.
