Job description and responsibilities:

This Sustainability Regulatory Analyst role will be focused on regulatory comliance for sustainability in ensuring effective global coordination, compliance execution, and implementation of regulations.

The role acts as a key operational partner, driving day-to-day execution, providing regulatory insights, and ensuring high-quality implementation across regions.

• Detecting and analysing regulatory requirements impacting HP products.
• Ensure global compliance of HP products with environmental regulations and market access requirements
• Maintain visibility on regulations, trends, implementation status, risks, and challenges across regions
• Prepare and support monthly compliance reviews and reporting
• Track and resolve off-track items, driving actions and mitigation plans
• Support the development and quality of Working Assumptions and regulatory interpretations
• Act as packaging sustainability SME for customer inquiries and requirements
• Collaborate with HP product stewards to set and drive HP’s sustainability strategies and goals across functions
• Monitor industry trends, technologies, and competitor landscape to inform decisions
• Drive cross-functional coordination and support implementation projects (e.g., regulatory changes, new products, audits)

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in sustainability, Environmental Science or related field.
• Knowledge and understanding of sustainability topics (ESG, recycling, circular economy, etc.)
• Strong project management skills
• Using data and AI tools
• Typically, 2+ years’ experience in packaging design, sustainability, compliance or with relevant work experience.

Desirable: experience/specialist knowledge of Extended Producer Responsibility (including WEEE and Batteries), Packaging or Product Repair & Longevity

Knowledge and Skills:

• Proven project management skills to lead projects and programs with team members from diverse technical backgrounds.
• Ability to collaborate successfully, coordinating and directing virtual, matrixed teams and resources to manage multiple projects and deadlines, and solve complex problems.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills; mastery of English.
• Willingness to thrive in an ambiguous and dynamic environment.
• Excellent data analysis and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated to make progress towards goals autonomously as needed.
• Ability to balance multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Experience or understanding of productivity software and tools, including AI, Power BI, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, and Teams.
• Ability to effectively communicate program plans, proposals, results, and requests at the senior management level.
