We are looking for a Test facility Technician in Alguaire (Lleida):
About the role:
As a Test Facility Technician at Pangea's propulsion test facility in Alguaire (Lleida), you will be a key member of the team responsible for preparing, operating, maintaining, and improving our propulsion test facility infrastructure.
You will work hands-on with propulsion systems, test benches, instrumentation, fluid systems, and facility equipment, supporting test campaigns. Working side-by-side with test and propulsion engineers, you will help ensure that test activities are executed safely, efficiently, and reliably.
This role combines technical work with day-to-day facility operations and is ideal for someone who enjoys solving practical problems, working with hardware, and taking ownership of keeping a complex test facility operational and ready for testing.
Key Responsibilities:
Test Preparation & Execution
· Prepare and configure test benches, fluid systems, instrumentation, ground support equipment, and safety systems for test campaigns.
· Support the commissioning of new test setups and facility upgrades.
· Participate in the execution of propulsion test campaigns, supporting control room operations and field activities.
· Perform pre-test inspections, checkouts, and readiness activities.
· Perform post-test inspections and support anomaly investigations.
· Assist engineers in troubleshooting activities and root cause investigations.
Test Facility Operations & Maintenance
· Perform routine maintenance, calibration, inspection, and repair of test facility equipment.
· Maintain valves, pressure systems, piping, sensors, actuators, DAQ hardware, and supporting infrastructure.
· Execute preventive maintenance plans and inspection routines.
· Ensure test benches and facility systems remain operationally ready.
· Support facility improvement projects and infrastructure upgrades.
· Maintain workshop areas, tools, storage locations, and common facility spaces in good condition.
Instrumentation & Data Acquisition
· Assist with the installation, wiring, inspection, and troubleshooting of instrumentation systems.
· Support pressure, temperature, flow, load cell, and other sensor installations.
· Assist with DAQ setup and basic data acquisition activities.
· Verify instrumentation health and readiness before test execution.
Logistics & Facility Support
· Receive, inspect, and organize incoming deliveries and shipments.
· Manage consumables and spare parts inventories.
· Support procurement activities by identifying replenishment needs.
· Support the coordination of visitors working at the facility.
· Maintain accurate inventory and asset records.
Documentation
· Complete maintenance records, inspection reports, and test preparation checklists.
· Maintain traceable records of maintenance activities and facility inspections.
· Keep inventory, tooling, and consumable databases up to date.
What you need to be successful:
· 2–5 years of hands-on experience in industrial, aerospace, automotive, energy, manufacturing, or test environments.
· Strong mechanical aptitude and a practical, hands-on mindset.
· Experience working with fluid systems, mechanical equipment, industrial installations, or test equipment.
· Comfortable working in a safety-critical environment.
· Ability to follow procedures while maintaining attention to detail.
· Strong teamwork and communication skills.
· Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and take ownership.
· Fluent in English and Spanish. Catalan/French is a plus.
· Bonus skills: welding, machining, or electrical troubleshooting skills.
