VFX Project Manager

The Role

The VFX Project Manager (often synonymous with Production Manager or Senior Coordinator) manages the "when and who." While the Producer handles the money, you handle the logistics. You ensure artists have their tasks, dailies run smoothly, and the schedule is adhered to.

Key Responsibilities

• Scheduling: Create and maintain detailed day -to -day schedules for asset and shot departments.
  

• Resource Allocation: Assign tasks to artists based on availability and skillset using ShotGrid.
  

• Workflow Management: Identify bottlenecks in the pipeline and unblock artists immediately.
  

• Dailies & Reviews: Organize internal dailies and client reviews, ensuring notes are accurately recorded and distributed.
  

What You Bring 

• Tracking Master: Deep understanding of ShotGrid.
  

• Communication: Clear, concise communication skills. You are the hub of information for the team.
  

• Calm Under Pressure: Ability to manage tight deadlines without transferring stress to the artists.
  

• Production Knowledge: You understand the VFX pipeline steps (i.e., you know that rigging must happen before animation).
  

Bonus Points

• Experience with Agile or Scrum methodologies.
  

• Previous experience as a VFX Coordinator.
