Descripción del trabajo - Workforce Planner - Travel Care

The role is responsible for calculating the workload and preparing adequate shift plans (rotations) for the Viking Travel Care, to ensure optimal staffing at all times, for our 24/7 365 operation.

Especially long-term planning, but also execute on short term changes in the shifts, e.g. due to illness, holidays and other.

Depending on the qualifications of the candidate, the role might be combined to include data analysis and/or Learning & Development tasks.

Responsibilities


  • Assess staffing need per day and per hour, taking into consideration seasonality and other factors that affect high or low workloads, and using this data to create shift planning.

  • Prepare shift plans in line with collective agreement, local laws and regulations, budgets and requirements.

  • Identify and optimize staffing plans, suggest improvements or alternatives.

  • Register and update shifts in the shift planning system.

  • Reporting on current and future staffing situation and need.

  • Additional administrative tasks related to workforce management, planning, staffing, emergency preparedness and similar.

  • Additional projects and tasks when needed.

Qualifications


  • Experience as a workforce manager or shift planner, preferably from a larger company with seasonal fluctuations.

  • Relevant higher education, e.g. in economics/administration or similar. Relevant experience can compensate for lack of formal education.

  • Good knowledge of relevant applicable legislation or ready to acquire this competence.

  • Good written and oral presentation skills in English, preferably also in Spanish.

  • Additional Nordic languages would be a plus.

  • Experienced user of IT systems and digital tools, experience with planning tools.

  • Analytical mindset and good with numbers and excel-sheets.

  • A team player with good collaboration skills.

  • Service-minded and flexible.

  • Proactive and structured, with high quality focus.

  • Independent and self-driven.

Employment type

Fulltime, office hours Monday to Friday.

Workplace

Our offices in Spain, Torrevieja or Fuengirola.
