Business Manager (Textile & Retail)

From Luxe Talent, International Recruitment and Training Consultancy specialized in Fashion, Luxury, Retail and FMCG, we are looking for a Business Manager for one of our clients, an international retail brand. The position is based in the Porto district. In our recruitment and training consultancy we work with different firms in the Luxury, Premium and High Premium sectors around Europe and have offices in Barcelona, Madrid, Paris, Milan, Berlin, Braga and Amsterdam. JOB DESCRIPTION OF THE BUSINESS MANAGER: The Business Manager is an essential part of the brand, with the following main responsibilities:

• Defining the annual budget (together with management) and commercial objectives;
• Defining the collection strategy (in liaison with the design team) and development plan, in line with the retail market strategy;
• Monitoring the market and closely analysing sales indicators in order to rectify or improve product lines and collections;
• Working together with the product design team (men's and women's) on which guidelines to follow in order to position the brand in its market segment;
• Managing teams of designers, product managers and buyers, approving all product purchases according to cost price, stock control and margin objectives;
• Taking part in sourcing fairs and regular meetings with suppliers, ensuring partnership and negotiations with buyers;
• Responsible for the entire presentation of the collection (fairs, showrooms), in conjunction with the Marketing team and ensuring that the entire team delivers the product on time.

Requirements:

• Proven experience (minimum 2 years) as a business or product manager.
• Ability to manage teams related to the product management and retail.
• Availability to travel and visit our retail stores, as needed.
• Ability strategically manage the business.
• Outstanding organizational skills.
