How You Will Make an Impact: As an Inside Sales Technical Sales Specialist (TSS) you will be responsible for the success of the cell culture consumables portfolio in your respective territory. You will have the ability to establish relationships with Key Opinion Leaders and life science customers and will drive the sales of your product ranges across the full range of life science research customers. As a TSS you have a deep understanding of your portfolio and will position product features, benefits and applications accompanied by selling and business development skills to successfully promote and sell the product portfolio and achieve or exceed the assigned territory sales plan. You will also be the primary driver of business development at assigned major customer call points to penetrate and grow current and new business. You will be recognized as a technical leader within the sales force that drives strategic objectives and adoption of innovative products. This role will be based onsite at the Thermo Fisher Scientific Villebon office (80% or more), with up to 20% travel to customers and internal meetings. What You Will Do: Build and maintain effective customer relations within assigned territory, through excellent verbal communications via phone and virtual meetings, with on-site customer visits where necessary. Use your product/technology expertise to drive sales activities to close opportunities to meet or exceed revenue goals for your specific product portfolio. Build relationships with all customer levels and functional areas, use solution selling techniques to influence purchasing decisions. Prospect for new opportunities to continue to grow the business and sell assigned portfolio of products and services. Set-up and coordinate technical product presentations by and/or with internal customers such as Research & Development, Marketing, other Sales Specialists and/or Field Application Scientists. Maintain and increase current customer database through company customer relations management software. Education Bachelor’s degree, preferably in life sciences or equivalent work experience Experience 2+ years of sales experience ​ Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication, and presentation skills Proven record of establishing goals and achieving results Proficient in MS Office Possess a strong desire to serve the customer. Organized, able to multi-task. Willing to travel to customer locations, if needed Demonstrates the Thermo Fisher values (The Four I’s) – Integrity, Intensity, Innovation, and Involvement
