Apprentice Group Sustainability Nature

Location: Barcelona, Spain

Are you passionate to learn how companies can embed nature into their business and looking to gain practical experience in a company that pursues business progress and societal and environmental impact? Then dsm-firmenich is looking for you to join our Group Sustainability Climate & Nature team and support various projects that will contribute to further embedding our approach to nature into our business.

Your key responsibilities

• Supporting various projects that will contribute to embedding our approach to nature into our business, specifically further embedding nature within our naturals sourcing program, the development of a nature transition action plan and a program supporting our commitment to start collective action projects in landscapes where we manufacture and / or source


• Managing inventory of our existing restoration projects at our manufacturing sites worldwide;


• Supporting preparation of relevant input for all mandatory and voluntary reporting within nature related topics, such as our IAR, CSRD, CDP, Ecovadis, etc.


• Stakeholder engagement (where relevant and where we work in collaboration) with other (multi-national) companies, governments, embassies, universities, NGO´s, knowledge institutes, and other relevant stakeholders;

You bring

• Graduate in Environmental Sciences, or similar;


• Ability to synthesize complex insights into structured, well prepared deliverables, such as  PowerPoint and/or Word.


• Strong analytical skills and ability to derive insights from data – advanced skills in working with Excel


• Ability to work effectively with a high degree of independence, in a virtual team setting and stakeholders based in multiple locations. 


• Self-starter mentality with a curiosity to dig deeper and explore new concepts and ideas.


• Fluency in English with strong oral and written communication skills.
