Finance Intern

Finance Intern | Based in Barcelona

Behind every FX transaction Kantox processes, there is a finance function making sure the numbers are right. We are a 200-person fintech handling over $18 billion in client transactions across 75 countries, and our Finance team keeps the engine running. We are looking for an Accounting Intern to join that team in Barcelona and get hands-on experience in a fast-paced, international financial environment.

This is not a shadowing role. From day one, you will be doing real work that the team depends on.

What you will work on

• Processing and reconciling invoices and expense reports
• Supporting month-end and quarter-end close activities
• Assisting with bank reconciliations and balance sheet checks
• Maintaining accurate records in our accounting system
• Supporting the team with ad hoc financial reporting and analysis

The setup

You will be based in our Barcelona office, working directly within the Finance team. You will get structured onboarding, close support from senior team members, and the opportunity to see how finance operations work inside a profitable, high-growth fintech backed by BNP Paribas.

Who you are

You are currently studying Accounting, Finance, Business, or Economics, and you are looking for an internship where you will actually learn, not just observe. You are comfortable with numbers, disciplined about detail, and the kind of person who flags a problem rather than sits on it.

Concretely:

• Currently enrolled in a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or Economics
• Solid understanding of core accounting principles: debits, credits, reconciliations
• Comfortable working with Excel or Google Sheets
• Fluent in English, our working language at Kantox
• Available for the full internship period with university sign-off confirmed

Nice to have:

• Prior internship or part-time experience in a finance or accounting function
• Exposure to accounting software such as SAP, Xero, or NetSuite
• Spanish speaker, helpful for local vendor communication
• Interest in fintech, FX, or financial markets
